The Altaica funds, subfunds under the umbrella of the Alpha High Performance fund, fund manager is Elite Fund Management and the fund manager is supervised and licensed by the Dutch Central Bank  (DNB) and Authority Financial Markets (AFM).

Safety

Elite Fund Management (EFM) places your interest first. EFM takes as a professional financial institution all measures to control the risks of services to exclude unnecessary damage and to limit eventual damage.

First of all we give clear information about the risks of the investment products. Next to this, compliance & control are key in our organisation. Obviously, every action must comply with laws and regulations. The registrations of Elite Fund Management at the Authority Financial Markets (AFM), the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and the Financial Services Complaints Board, KiFid, (Klachten Instituut Financiële Dienstverlening) emphasize this.

EFM is part of the Dutch Financial sector and due to this subject to all relevant Dutch and European laws & regulations as well to all regulating institutions as accepted by the Dutch Government and financial sector. The most important and relevant institutions are the Authority Financial Markets and the Dutch Central Bank.

Authority Financial Markets
The AFM is the supervisor for all market parties in The Netherlands in the area of financial products and services. EFM is provider of financial services. This means that our products and services are subject of the “Wet of het Financieel Toezicht”, Law on Financial Supervision. Our funds are also compliant to the latest AIFMD regulations. The enhanced complaints procedure of Elite Fund Management guarantees a quick and adequate handling of a complaint.

Complaints and KiFiD
EFM takes care to to look after the interest of our investors. Unless our carefulness there is reason for a complaint about our products and services you have the possibility to make use of our complaints procedure.

The complaint procedure contains the following steps:

  1. Firstly you are asked to report your complaint to your contact at EFM. The involved staff member will take action to come to a satisfactory solution;
  2. When you are unsatisfied about the offered solution by your contact at EFM you are invited to send your complaint in writing to the EFM Compliance Officer, Maarten Nieuwenhuijsen (compliance@elitefundmanagement.com), please add also your contact details to this email. If you prefer to send your complaint by post, you may send it to the following address:

    The complaint will now be handled by the directors of EFM and the compliance officer. They will inform you quickly about the way of handling your complaint and will reply in six weeks;
  3. If you feel that your complaint has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you will have the option of resorting to KiFiD (kifid.nl). Kifid is an independent institute handling individual financial disputes. EFM is associated at the KiFiD. In order to submit your complaint at the Kifid on time, your complaint should be submitted within one year after submitting yout complaint at EFM, or within three months after receiving a final decision of EFM. If this timeframe is neglected Kifid might not process your complaint;
  4. In case the mediation of Kifid is unsuccessful, Kifid will judge in the form of a binding or non-binding decision (based upon your choice). Are you unsatisfied with the judgement? Based on the nature of the dispute, Kifid allows in some cases the facility of an appeal.
